This paper uses the Adizes lifecycle model as the sole analytical framework to classify 2012 survey data from Hungarian SMEs into lifecycle stages and assess how profitability and managerial decision-making differ across them. The authors conclude that lifecycle stage as defined by Adizes is a significant predictor of firm financial performance.
