Sexual Escapades

I wonder why so many political leaders have sexual escapades. FDR, JFK and Bill Clinton did. Eliot Spitzer, the governor of New York State, Françoise Hollande of France, and Benjamin Netanyahu did. Lyndon Johnson allegedly did. Is there a disease infecting political leadership and causing promiscuity? Or are political leaders promiscuous by nature? Or an abuse of power? The women were willing to participate. There was no pressure reported.

What is going on?

Does it have to do with stress on the job? It has been established that stress and overeating are related. We seek food as comfort to help alleviate stress. Are sexual escapades the same?

Why is having sex with one’s own wife not enough to relieve the stress? They were all married.

It seems that only men in leadership positions have escapades. We never hear about sexual scandals involving Golda Meir, Angela Merkel, or Margaret Thatcher. I think women go more for the comfort food instead.

What is it? I have no idea. I am looking for comments.
