The Meaning of the Number Thirteen

July 24, 2020

In the Jewish religion, thirteen is a sacred number. Why?

Consider numerology. If you add up the values of the words “peace,” “hear,” and “love” written in Hebrew, you get the same number: thirteen.

שלום

שְׁמעַ

אהב

Now, this is interesting. The combination of these words is not happenstance, they contain a message: There cannot be sustainable love when there is no peace, and how can we have peace unless we listen to each other?

Just thinking,
