Today is the birthday of Dr. Ichak Adizes, a man I deeply admire and have the privilege to work with, learn from, and be guided by.

It is hard to describe what it feels like to be around someone whose clarity, conviction, and curiosity never fade.

Dr. Adizes does not understand the concept of "medium." It is always all or nothing: in thought, in purpose, and in heart. That intensity has shaped not only the Adizes Methodology but also the lives of everyone who has crossed paths with him.

My wishes to myself

At this stage of my life, what I wish for more is opportunities to see people and organizations grow—truly grow—not just in size or wealth, but in wisdom, compassion, and the ability to work together with mutual trust and respect.

I wish for more moments where people listen to each other deeply, where differences are embraced as sources of strength, and where love is not seen as a weakness, but as the foundation for lasting success. As I often say, “Greatness is not a function of circumstance. Greatness, it turns out, is largely a matter of conscious choice and discipline.” That is what I hope to see in the world.

On a personal note, I wish for time with my family, for music—especially my accordion—and for the simple joys of meaningful conversation. And perhaps, if I may be bold, I wish that the ideas and lessons I have shared will continue to help others long after I am gone.
